At Napoleon’s Nose Creative Media, we bring bold audio stories from Northern Ireland to the world. We focus on standout content, smart production, and a brilliant client and listener experience from start to finish.
At Napoleon’s Nose Creative Media, we care about truth, craft, and fairness.
We bring these to life in every story we tell — with care for our audiences, respect for our collaborators, and pride in what we make.
We judge success by completion rates, creator incomes and audience trust - not by raw traffic.
We help you tell your story — and make sure the right people hear it.
Whether you’re an individual, brand or organisation, we create powerful audio and sharpen how you show up in the world.
From standout podcasts to smart, focused media coaching, we’ll help you connect with clarity, confidence and purpose.
Want to launch a podcast? Build your impact? Find your voice?
We’ll make sure it cuts through — and stays heard.
We start with a free consultation and a chemistry test — to make sure we’re the right fit. Then we take it from there.
Napoleon’s Nose rises above Belfast — a basalt cliff said to have inspired Gulliver’s Travels, its outline like a sleeping giant or Napoleon in repose. A reminder that stories can lie dormant, waiting to be stirred.
As an experienced and award-winning BBC network executive and creative director I can draw on a trusted network of gifted creatives to make podcasts that travel — across formats, genres and borders.
From first idea to final cut, I bring editorial rigour, creative flair and a belief in stories that stand tall and have backbone.
Napoleon’s Nose is shaped by Belfast — sharp stories, dry humour, and plain speaking at its core.
We take creative risks, challenge convention, and see things differently.
Podcasting is about connection. Done right, it builds real communities around ideas and voices.
We work with care and collaboration to deliver the best for everyone — from individuals to big brands.
Stories with backbone. To stand tall.
I set up Napoleon’s Nose to tell stories that matter and make them travel.
With 30 years at the BBC in London and Bristol, I’ve led teams, shaped award-winning podcasts, and championed ambitious storytelling, especially around food, culture, and identity.
Now, through Napoleon’s Nose, I can help you connect with audiences through smart ideas, strong craft, and content that sticks.
Got a story worth telling? Let’s make sure it connects.
For over 30 years, I worked at the BBC as a creative director, leading teams across Radio 4, the World Service, BBC Sounds and BBC Studios Audio. I’ve shaped hit podcasts, built standout formats, and developed powerful editorial ideas that connect with audiences — at home and around the world.
My work has picked up some of the top industry awards: Prix Italia, Prix Europa, Gold Arias, Fortnum & Mason, and the Guild of Food Writers.
I also was a founder of the RTS-winning citywide food and storytelling festival Bristol Food Connections — blending storytelling, food and culture in new and surprising ways. It ran from 2014-2019.
At Napoleon’s Nose, I work with individuals, groups and brands to help them tell stories that matter — and make them travel. That might mean developing a new podcast, refining an editorial pitch, or helping you sharpen your creative vision.
What I bring is sharp judgement, honest collaboration, and content that connects — from Belfast to the BBC, CBC and beyond.
